Qld: Man dead in north-Qld crash

BRISBANE, Feb 11 AAP - A man has died after his utility collided with a four-wheel
drive on the Bruce Highway in north Queensland early today, police say.

The 27-year-old died at the scene of the accident, about 50km north of Townsville,
near the Toomulla Beach turn-off, about 5.10am (AEST).

The driver of the utility lost control, veered across the road and collided with a
four-wheel drive travelling in the opposite direction, police said.

Two male occupants of the four-wheel drive were taken to Townsville Hospital with non-life
threatening injuries.

Police are continuing their investigation.
